The Takeover

Hip Hop is not dead. True Hip Hop is alive in cities everywhere. Unfortunately, record companies don't want us to hear it. They want to feed us their concoction of nonsensical lyrics and profit off these rapper buffoons/cartoon characters because it's easy for them. Plus, it's been working for a long time - why ruin a good thing, right? Well it doesn't work for us. Now is the time to band together and pay tribute to the real artists. If you know a real artist or have heard a good one in your town, leave a comment and a link to that artist's work. It's time to revolutionize the game OUR WAY.

Allegory of the Cave

The following artists have escaped the cave of obscurity and have returned to bring the rest of us their lyrical wisdom...Check out Plato's Allegory of the Cave if you need further clarification or enlightenment.

K'Naan (no longer underground, but he still doesn't get the proper respect he deserves)

Dyme Def (slowly rising from the cave...found this one on Pandora)

Kid Cudi (DEFINITELY no longer underground)
